The Israeli Pavilion at Cannes FF 2022 will present some of the new Israeli films for 2022-2023, including: KINSHIP by Orin Kadoori, who was selected for the Cinéfondation competition 2022 (the short film competition at Cannes). YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING by Michal Vinik at the Cinefondation’s Atelier 2022, KARAOKE by Moshe Rosental, which has been officially selected to attend the Tribeca Film Festival in early June 2022, and many others.
The Rabinovich Foundation’s – Israel Cinema Project’s annual panel at the Israel Pavilion will feature WIFT international (women in film and television) panel on Friday 20th morning: MYSHERO AND I, where ten WIFT’S presidents from six continents will discuss their movie’s Shero as a role model, how she helped them grow, and, most importantly, how we can all use our own Shero to achieve our personal and professional goals. The panel will be moderate by WIFTI president, Ms. Helene Granqvist with the participant of:Ms. Tsiako Abesadze – WIFT Caucasus, Ms. Nicole Ackermann – WIFT Germany, Ms. Katie Bailiff – WFTV UK, MS. The second panel, hosted by the Israel Pavilion by the Ministry of Culture and Sport, will take place in the afternoon on Friday 20 afternoon SMALL SCALE – BIG FILMS; How are film commissions and institutions dealing with current issues? Is a new era on the horizon for them, and how can they assist their own film industry in these trying times? The panel will be moderated by Mr. Chris Marcich – Chief Executive Officer at Croatian Audiovisual Center (HAVC) and the Panelist: Ms. Aleksandra Bozovic, Managing Director, Film center of Montenegro. Ms. Nataša Bučar, Managing Director, Slovenian Film Centre. Mr. Stavroula Geronimaki, Acting Director, Hellenic Film Commission. Mr. Melik Karapetyan, Film Commissioner, National Cinema Center of Armenia. Ms. Natalie Movshovych, Head of Film, Ukrainian institute. Mr. Diomides Nikita, Cultural Officers Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and youth – Cyprus.
The third panel at the Israel pavilion; MAKE. IT. SHORT hosted by Gesher Multicultural Film Fund and T-PORT on Sunday, May 22nd, will focus on rising filmmakers in the field of short films as a calling card or as a separate art form. The Panel will be moderate by Mr. Amos Geva, T-port Co-Founder, Head of Industry & Strategic Partnerships and the panelist: Mr. Flavio Armone, International sales agency, Lights On, Ms. Irina Gurova, producer, head of iFilm Ltd. Ms.Émilie Poirie, Head of Short Film at Montreal Festival du nouveau cinéma and Ms. Celine Roustan, Senior Programmer at “Short of the Week”.
